VA PAY IQ

2027 VA Disability Pay — Projected Scenario Only

Projected 2027 VA disability pay scenario only: at 100% alone, $4,080.37 per month, computed as the 2026 amount × 1.036. This is NOT a published VA rate. VA Pay IQ is independent, not VA.

PROJECTED ESTIMATE — NOT A PUBLISHED VA RATE VA.gov has not published a 2027 dollar table as of October 29, 2026; it still displays the 2026 tables as current. The Social Security Administration announced a 3.6% COLA on October 14, 2026 (SSA), which determines the percentage adjustment, but that percentage is not a VA dollar table. Every figure on this page is the 2026 published amount × 1.036, rounded, and the VA-published table may differ by cents. This page will be replaced by the official table the moment VA.gov publishes one.

Effective date: Not yet published by VA (projection only; the 2026 table is effective December 1, 2025). Source: SSA COLA announcement, October 14, 2026 (percentage only). Projected change: +3.6% versus 2026, from the SSA COLA announcement. This is a scenario, not a published VA change.

Worked example

A veteran rated 70%, with a spouse, 3 children under 18, and a spouse receiving Aid and Attendance, would receive a projected $2,452.68 per month ($29,432.16 per year) under this 2027 scenario — computed as the 2026 official amount of $2,367.45 × 1.036, rounded.

Projected example only. It is not a VA.gov worked example and not a VA determination. When VA.gov publishes the real 2027 table, this page must be regenerated from that table and the projection label removed.

Frequently asked questions

Are 2027 VA disability rates published?

No. As of October 29, 2026, VA.gov still displays the 2026 dollar tables as current. The Social Security Administration announced a 3.6% COLA on October 14, 2026, but that is a percentage, not a VA-published 2027 dollar table.

What is the projected 2027 rate at 100% for a veteran alone?

$4,080.37 per month as a projection only, computed as the 2026 published amount of $3,938.58 × 1.036, rounded. It is labeled 'Projected estimate — not a published VA rate' everywhere it appears, and the VA-published table may differ by cents.

Why might the published 2027 table differ from this projection?

VA publishes tables in dollars and cents, and rounding at each table entry can differ by a cent from a single COLA multiplication. Third-party 2027 figures already disagree by a cent on some dependent rows, for example 100% with spouse: $4,307.87 versus $4,307.86 under this site's rounding. That is why the projection is never presented as official.

What happens when VA publishes the real 2027 table?

The rate-update pipeline stages the official table, validates it, reports any cent-level differences versus this projection, and only then replaces the projection with the official table and removes the projection label.
